The Invite-to-Book feature allows hosts to send custom booking invitations to guests, often used for special requests like discounts or adjusted pricing. When a guest accepts the invite, it becomes a confirmed booking with the agreed-upon terms.
How It Works
The host clicks “Invite to Book” in the message thread with the guest and creates the custom invitation.
The guest has seven days to review, accept, or decline the invitation.
If the guest accepts, the booking is confirmed, and the guest is charged the full amount (or the remaining balance if they had already made a payment).
If the guest declines or the invite expires, the host can send another invitation—as long as the booking start date and time have not passed.
Custom Rates & Special Pricing
Any special rates offered via Invite-to-Book must be clearly stated in the “About the Space” section of the listing.
Hosts can also set variable rates that automatically adjust based on:
Day of the week or time of day (e.g., lower weekday rates, higher weekend rates after 5 PM).
Guest count (e.g., different pricing for small vs. large groups).
These rates are calculated automatically and displayed on the listing page at checkout.
Other Important Details
Processing fees apply to all transactions—guests should be aware of the total cost before accepting an invite.
SpacePal’s cancellation policy and payment terms still apply to Invite-to-Book reservations.
This feature makes it easy for hosts to accommodate special requests while ensuring a smooth, transparent booking experience for guests.
