Want to get more bookings and show up higher in search? It all starts with replying fast and consistently.
Hosts who respond on time:
🥇 Show up higher in search results
💸 Get up to 5× more bookings
🤝 Build more trust with guests
f you delay or miss messages, your space can drop in visibility — or even be hidden.
Plus, keeping a high response rate is key if you want to become a Super Host.
This guide shows you exactly how to boost your response rate, reply faster, and stop leaving money on the table.
1. Turn on all notifications (seriously, all of them)
If you don’t know when an inquiry comes in, there’s no way to respond on time. Make sure everything’s activated so you don’t miss a single one:
✅ Download the SpacePal app (iOS or Android). Push notifications help you reply instantly from anywhere.
✅ Enable WhatsApp and SMS alerts. Perfect if you’re not checking the app all the time. You’ll get notified the moment something comes in. Make sure your phone is verified.
✅ Add our emails to your contacts: hola@space-pal.com and mateo@space-pal.com. This keeps alerts out of spam so you don’t miss a booking.
2. Respond as quickly as possible
The faster you respond, the higher your score.
Even if you don’t have all the info yet, just say: “Hi! Could you share a bit more info before I approve the booking?”
That already counts as a response and stops the clock.
3. Keep your calendar up to date
If your space isn’t available, mark the date as unavailable.
Decline the inquiry so it doesn’t hurt your response rate.
This avoids unnecessary messages and keeps your metrics clean.
4. Check your account every day
A few minutes a day can make a big difference.
Even if you don’t have new bookings, you might have messages waiting.
Fast replies = more bookings.
5. Use quick replies
Try things like: “Hi! Thanks for reaching out 🙌 Could you tell me a bit more about your event?”
It lets you respond fast without overthinking.
Bonus tip: Save your go-to phrases to reuse anytime.
6. Don’t ignore any inquiry
Even if the message seems short or vague, reply anyway.
A simple “Is it available?” can turn into a confirmed booking.
If it’s not a fit, just decline the inquiry.
Every reply boosts your performance metrics.
7. Invite them to book
If the guest doesn’t move forward, give them a little nudge:
“Hi! If this space works for you, you can book directly from here to lock in the date 😊”
That small push can turn a chat into a booking — and it counts as a reply.
8. Can’t reply yourself? Delegate!
If you have a team or someone you trust, give them access to your account.
A basic reply on time is better than no reply at all.
The key is to never leave an inquiry hanging.
Ready to improve your metrics and show up higher?
Replying quickly and consistently doesn’t just boost your stats — it puts you in front of more guests, builds trust, and multiplies your chances of getting booked.
